Edinburgh Cup, one of the biggest race days in the Musselburgh Racecourse’s seasonal highlight calendar took place on Saturday 6th June 2015 and it was the most successful year to date.
With 6,700 people in attendance, the day hosted some fantastic racing and an electric party atmosphere as Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills took the stage.
Since its introduction in 2010 we have helped to develop the Edinburgh Cup event and strengthen its presence in the Scottish horse racing calendar, by creating iconic event branding and a distinctive brand communication style.
This year, working closely with the Musselburgh Racecourse, we launched a multi-channel advertising campaign ‘Bringing Colours to the Capital’. Our creative concept aimed to demonstrate the strong link between horse racing and Edinburgh by showcasing colourful jockey silks against the backdrop of iconic images of the capital.
The campaign consisted of everything from onsite posters, press and racecard adverts to outdoor, transport and digital advertising. You could not move in the capital without seeing the Edinburgh Cup advertising, all contributing to the significant increase in ticket sales.
